When you installed windows – did it install to drive G or did this change happen later? To be honest, it’s the first time i’ve noticed it – and only because i checked under hidden devices in the Device Manager. After mounting and plugging it into place, I connected it to my computer but Windows did not recognize it. You have jumpers as slave, all connections in external case clean and well made, have followed the manual in the order of connection USB plug to external, dc plug inserted in external and then ac power adapter ‘on’start your comoputer and after it is fired up connect the external to the USB port.
